This is all over the internet with varying names.
And likely, they will just keep changing their product and company name and keep ripping off the public…this is what it appears to date.
THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THEIR CHARGES IS TO CANCEL YOUR CARD!!!
After reading this convincing article on Acai Berry SCAM at http://www.acaioptimumscam.net/ , trusting a journalist wouldn’t SCAM the public, I ordered from the two links she provided in her “article”. One was .99 and one was 3.98 for the trial. AFTER I placed the order, I read the fine print ON THE PAGE which says you have to cancel within 14 days if you don’t like it, otherwise you’ll pay like $80. So I didn’t even get the order (which came under some other name brand other than what was on the site) until a couple weeks later. BELIEVING this would work, I wanted to give it a fair trial, even though I knew I would be charged about $80. Such a miracle may be worth it, right?????????????? I mean if they are going to give you a free trial, the product MUST BE GOOD!!!!!!!!
Truthfully, I didn’t have any noticeable results, but even in their (“change your account” terms and conditions – remember, you cannot cancel! – see below) they say it takes 3 months to see anything, BUT THE ARTICLE at http://www.acaioptimumscam.net/ tells a different story. Maybe I would have seen something after 3 months.
However, my phone number (cell) suddenly was getting all these calls regarding the Acai Berry this and that, with no matching company or product names to that which I had received. I was very angry. I told them all to cancel everything and take me off their telemarketing list. This was around July 1st. I got another half dozen calls and continued saying cancel me, take me off your call list, and even called back the number, which answers, “to be taken off our call list, please enter your phone number” – I worried THAT was a scam, but finally I did it. They still called one more time after that!!!!!!!!
I knew I would get the one charge of $80 because I hadn’t cancelled before the 14 days (since I hadn’t even got the product to try yet). This was from the LEAN BODY BURN or whatever other company names they use. OK, it was a stupid purchase. I didn’t think anything else about it.
The OTHER link in the article was for Swiss Sciences (I know that NOW), but there are no company names, or different company names, and they keep changing the product names, so it’s hard to keep track. Anyway, I received this LIPOSOM weight management formula (which I first thought was from the LEAN BODY BURN, but it was from the Swiss Sciences who sent me the LIQUIBOOST (which wasn’t the name on the link either) so it was all a bit confusing.
BTW, even the telemarketers that called could not give me the name of the product they sent to me. Nor could they provide me with a company name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is when I KNEW something was seriously wrong and cancelled, told them to stop calling, to not ship me anything, to take me out of their database, etc.
Low and behold, for another reason altogether, I went into my online banking to check for a different charge and found these two companies had been charging the hell out of my debit card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the very day after I placed the order with Swiss Sciences for their “DETOX” product of many names ( I now see), they charged my account $169.95. That was the day after they charged me the .99 for the trial. You cannot believe how twisted this all gets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was NO FINE PRINT to ever account for this.
The LEAN BODY BURN company never sent me another product, yet they charged my account 4 times, 2 for $87.47 once for $1.49?????????, and the original charge of $3.87. Their fine print says once you sign up they can keep charging you forever, every month, without sending you a product, UNLESS YOU CANCEL!!!!! HOWEVER, there is NO WAY TO CANCEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After the call to Lean Body (or who know who) via Wells Fargo FRAUD DEPARTMENT, The Lean Body sent me this email. As the Wells Fargo rep may remember, the Customer Service rep named Stephie Anderson at LEAN BODY was very insistent that I use lower case letters for my online signature, told me the password was ONLINE, regarding this email (On how to confirm the CHANGE to my account – NOTE: She would NOT use the word cancel nor would she provide a cancellation number. Nor could she produce more than ONE tracking number for any shipments to me.
FRAUD is pretty obvious when the product name on the product received is different from the one you ordered and keeps changing, the company name can’t be found anywhere on your online order page, and the company refuses to refund any amount of money falsely charged (without product shipment), you try to convince people not to chargeback fraudulent charges by threatening them to be listed as follows SEE BELOW – THIS IS FROM THEIR CANCEL PAGE (All internet credit card companies’ use these databases to access credit risk with customers and future purchases with other internet companies might be denies. We do not have any control over this fraud database. Once you get on these lists it is very difficult to get your name removed from it. BE SMART! DON'T DESTROY YOUR INTERNET CREDIT If a customer charges a purchase back we will place their name, address, zip code, and credit card number into an Internet fraud database)
